Tuesday 5th April marked a milestone in Irish history, same sex couples celebrated the first public civil partnership in Ireland. Barry Dignam and Hugh Walsh tied the knot yesterday, becoming the first couple in Ireland not to require a court exemption to celebrate a same sex marriage.
