Cross Town
Cross Town are a new band made up of six accomplished and dynamic musicians. The main reason for forming the new band was the need by all musicians involved to be able to perform any song from any genre of music whether it be male or female vocals, party, rock, funk, soul or dance. The Cross Town line-up consists of Eleanor Kenny and Wayne Richards on lead vocals, Andrew Batten on drums, Gerard Batten on lead guitar, Kieran Nugent on bass and Mick Gerrity on keyboards.
A previous history with bands such as the Tom Jones Experience and Modern Gospel Ensemble, to various funk, pop, and soul bands regularly gigging around Dublin and nationwide (Fresh Injection, Blindside, Business As Usual, The Love Bullets, Seven Deadly Skins). Eleanor even had the accolade of being involved with backing vocals for The Late Late Show and dance music recordings with top record labels such as Baroque Record label and Armada Records. With such a varied range of music styles covered Cross Town are a band for any occasion whether it be a wedding, corporate, pub or private function.
