Beat Club
Beat Club are a six piece band consisting of Brendan Tallon on guitar and vocals, Karl McDermott on bass and vocals, Fintan Jones on sax, guitar and vocals,Shane Rafferty on drums, Ray Martin on Trumpet and Geoff Woods on piano and keyboards. Brendan, Karl and Shane are ex of top Irish indie band Revelino who had a successful 10 year career, releasing three acclaimed albums and touring throughout Europe and America. Fintan and Ray, meanwhile, toured the world as part of the Committments band and are two of the most consistently brilliant players on the
Dublin jazz scene. Geoff is a founding member of Picturehouse, one of Irelands hardest working and most successful pop bands who’s singles are regular radio hits.
Playing constantly together for over two years now, Beat Club have built their reputation with an eclectic set of defining singles from the 50′s, 60′s, 70′s, 80’s and 90’s, all played with faithful reverence to these classic originals while maintaining the energy and vitality of real fans. Uniquely defined by close harmony singing, solid back beats and one of the most happening brass sections around, all combined with an impeccably cool mix of songs, it could only be Beat Club.
